Die Berliner Soligruppe der Gefangenengewerkschaft/Bundesweite Organisation ruft Beschäftigte von Unternehmen dazu auf, keine Arbeitsaufträge von Haftanstalten auszuführen. Was ist an Reparaturmaßnahmen hinter Gittern so schlecht?

Solche Dinge klingen für viele erst einmal gut. Der Knast soll dadurch freundlicher wirken oder einfach nur funktionieren. Aber genau hier liegt unser Problem: Als Anti-Knast-Gruppe sind wir für die Abschaffung aller Gefängnisse und gegen alles, was deren Erhalt dient. Unternehmen und Beschäftigte, welche für Justizvollzugsanstalten, JVA, tätig sind, tragen dazu bei, dass Knast als Institution funktioniert.

Stellen wir uns vor, alle Lohnarbeiter würden Arbeitsaufträge von JVA-Leitungen verweigern. Sicherheitsanlagen könnten nicht gewartet werden, Wärter kämen nicht zum Dienst, Wasser würde nicht laufen, Strom nicht fließen. Entweder würden sich die Gitter automatisch öffnen, oder die Gefangenen würden sich eigenständig befreien. Niemand würde in den Zellen hocken und auf Schließer warten. Das ist für uns eine tolle Vorstellung.

Welche Betriebe sind für die Instandhaltung Berliner JVAs zuständig?

Zuständig ist vor allem der Landesbetrieb für Gebäudebewirtschaftung, für die Energieversorgung sind es die Berliner Stadtwerke. Für die Gebäude in den Haftanstalten ist die Berliner Immobilienmanagement GmbH verantwortlich, wobei die Berliner Energiemanagement GmbH als Tochterunternehmen für die Dampfversorgung zuständig ist.

In der JVA Plötzensee hielt die Ingenieurgemeinschaft Weißensee die Dampfversorgungsanlage instand. Vor kurzem erhielt sie von der Leitung den Auftrag, die Anlage zu reparieren. Weil die Ingenieurgemeinschaft aber nicht mehr für die JVA Plötzensee arbeiten wollte, wurde die Mutz GmbH angefragt.

In Ihrem Aufruf führen Sie das Beispiel eines mit Ihnen kooperierenden Beschäftigten der Mutz GmbH an, der seine Kollegen offenbar überzeugen konnte, die defekte Dampfversorgungsanlage nicht zu reparieren. Wie hat er argumentiert?

Vorweg: In der JVA Plötzensee sitzen vor allem Menschen, die ihre Geldstrafe nicht zahlen können. Das ist die sogenannte Ersatzfreiheitsstrafe. Über die Diskussion von Armut und Reichtum in der Gesellschaft, von oben und unten wird schnell klar, dass eine Mehrheit von einer Minderheit unterdrückt und ausgebeutet wird.

Was haben Gefängnisse damit zu tun?

Knastkritik ist auch Kapitalismuskritik. Ohne Konkurrenz funktioniert die kapitalistische Profitlogik nicht. Und es bleiben Menschen auf der Strecke. Die an den Rand Gedrängten landen mitunter im Knast. Der Staat kann auf sie mit dem Finger zeigen und sagen: Die sind ja selbst schuld, die haben sich nicht angepasst verhalten, deswegen ist es richtig, sie wegzusperren. Die Beschäftigten haben viel über »Schuld« diskutiert: Wer hat sie wirklich? Etwa Menschen, die es sich nicht leisten können, das Nötigste zum Überleben legal zu beschaffen, und deshalb klauen gehen?

Und diese Argumentation war für den Großteil der Belegschaft plausibel?

Ja, schlussendlich waren die meisten Kollegen von alternativen Vorstellungen von Gesellschaft begeistert, bei denen es weniger um Schuld als um kollektive Verantwortung sowie ein selbstbestimmtes Leben geht. Die Belegschaft hat nicht nur Alternativen zu Knast diskutiert, sondern generell über ein alternatives Leben. Das ist auch, was wir wollen.

Ist Ihr Aufruf, »Knastaufträge zu sabotieren«, ein Kampagnenstart für weitere Haftanstalten?

Das wäre natürlich wünschenswert. Allerdings haben wir als Gruppe nicht die Reichweite, alle Beschäftigten in Unternehmen zu kontaktieren, die in Knästen Instandhaltungsarbeiten ausführen. Deshalb: Um eine tatsächlich breite Kampagne zu starten, brauchen wir viel Öffentlichkeit. Wenn sich andere Personen, Gruppen oder Initiativen uns anschließen, würden wir uns freuen.
